The Hill Side MX Rider Guide

Take the guesswork
out of getting started.

Young riders do not all arrive at motocross in the same way. Some families need help choosing a first bike, some already own a bike but do not know its class, and experienced riders want to compare every route forward.

Our interactive guide brings the current class limits, real bike examples and Hill Side MX participation information together in one clear place.

Guidance is based on the current NORA Motorsport class regulations. Final rider and machine eligibility remains subject to the applicable regulations and event checks.

More than race meetings

One track. One community.
One Hill Side.

Hill Side MX was created by three motocross families with a shared passion for the sport and a clear idea of what young riders and their families deserve.

We’re building a club where children can develop skills, build confidence and enjoy fair competition in a safe, supportive environment—and where every family feels part of the paddock.

What do the bike-performance descriptions mean?
Development / starterDesigned mainly for learning, confidence and progression. It may be eligible for the class but could be noticeably less competitive in a race.
Club-capableSuitable for practice and capable of taking part in club-level racing, although its overall performance may not match the strongest race-focused bikes in the class.
Competition-focusedA purpose-built or higher-performance machine with race-oriented power delivery, suspension, brakes and chassis. This still does not guarantee results.
High-speed / check exact setupThe published speed is unusually high or the model has adjustable specifications. Its exact power, wheel setup and eligibility must be checked before booking.

These are Hill Side MX guidance descriptions based on published specifications. They are not official NORA classifications, a club endorsement or a guarantee of competitiveness.
